Here's what you'll be working on: Highly engineered aerospace parts fabricated to precise dimensions. Set-up the machines for specified jobs per instructions in the job routing and blueprints. Qualification and inspection of first piece Inspecting and documenting features per instructions. Inspection of parts visually and using various measurement tools such as height gauges and Vernier Calipers, micrometers, roll check, measurement over wires. Go/No-Go Gauges. Handling of piece parts ranging in weight from 1lb. to 20 lbs. Perform accessory operations like deburring and cleaning of parts using various hand and power tools such as a belt sander or drill press. Perform any other tasks as assigned by the shop supervisor. Follow all company procedures and instructions.

Most tasks require good hand/eye coordination and the full range motion of both hands and arms on a regular and repetitive basis.

Preferred Qualifications Include: 3+ years of Gear Machining. Experience in gear cutting operations like Hobbing, Shaping, Shaving, Straight gear/splinecutting/generation,and Gear Grinding. Experience with relevant machines:

Barber Coleman-Manual Hobber, Drake CNC Hobber with Fanuc control, Mitsubishi SE25A CNC Shaper with Fanuc controls, Reishauer RZ3015 CNC Gear Grinder. Should have ability to set up operate above machines and grind/sharpen cutting tools as required. Demonstrated ability to read basic blueprints and follow specific instructions and procedures. Ability to organize, prioritize and plan daily work assignments in a self-directed changing environment. Knowledge of basic shop math. Ability to use measuring tools like height gauges, micrometers, dial indicators, Vernier calipers etc. Understanding of metal-cutting applications and general machining practices. High level of attention to detail and strong work ethic.
