ADP is hiring a GIS Analyst

In this role, you will be a vital part of the GIS team in supporting projects and objectives that fall in line with priorities laid out by various entities within Compliance Solutions. You will aid in several pivotal processes from quality control to data maintenance. Supporting our ADP associates with any troubleshooting etc in relation to GIS mapping and applications is an important component of this role.

Each day will bring something different to the table but the nature of what we do shall always remain consistent. Our job is to ensure that we provide solutions to concerns that may come our way and be mindful of any suggestions as well. As an analyst here at ADP, precision is a pivotal factor in our work. Much time is spent insuring the many datasets we utilize are always updated and checked for quality. Building and innovating new mapping applications is also a keen area of focus. Lastly and certainly not least, giving support to ADP associates and clients' needs.

To thrive in this role, communication is key along with building trust between our team and clients. We are always looking to improve upon existing processes. There are a variety of needs that will arise and being able to read and react is an absolute plus. Being able to understand the nuances of different types of datasets and adjust accordingly will be a wonderful asset to have and utilize. What you'll do:

What you can expect on a typical day:

• Client Support: You will help our clients and associates by ensuring our data is accurate and updated for our various deliverables. This not only includes everything within our geodatabases but also our various web maps, applications, and layers. There are days you may be called upon to make sure a map is reflecting changes suggested by a client or associate within a short time frame. As other teams within ADP rely on our GIS data, days will arise in which you may need to assist with quality control of a large dataset that has been updated.
• Learn: With the volume of our datasets alone, understanding what the data means and how to interpret that data for GIS is critical to what this team does for ADP. Innovation is a key factor in learning here. We are always looking to continually upgrade our knowledge and also enhance our GIS skill sets. There will certainly be opportunities through exposure to new concepts, training, and more as we look to create new and enhance our current products.
• Organize: We continue to constantly evolve and change for the better and in doing so, we must maintain the integrity of our work. You will be asked to aid in ensuring the integrity of our data remains of high quality. There will be a high emphasis on documentation, data storage, and especially certain metadata. Quality Control is vital as well.
