In this role you will join the Global Data Scientist team and report to the Head of Data & Analytics.

Job Overview:

This role would be part of the Global COE for Data & Analytics and will work closely with Commercial product and project leads and has the responsibility to help develop data and analytics solutions that are global or regional in scope that can be quickly actioned into clear and significant profit and revenue improvement. Key customers include the KCP Regional GM's/VP's, CX/ Marketing and Sales leaders, Regional Data & Analytics leaders, and our IT partners. Key customer expectation is that all analytics solutions are completed in a proactive fashion, working with IT and business teams collaboratively, but pushing the thinking (and supported through data) to drive improved revenue/profit that translates into meaningful business impact.

Location: This role can sit remotely anywhere in the USA.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Provide advice, counsel, and business expertise to KCP global leader's, regional data & analytics leaders, regional sales/marketing leaders, country managers, and finance to enhance good decision making and maximize sales revenue/profit.
  • Provide input to the optimal design of growth initiatives by partnering with sales, marketing and customer experience teams across each region to maximize revenue, profit and ROI.
  • Formulate, suggest, and manage data-driven projects independently and engage all stakeholders periodically for seeking input as well as sharing actionable / insights.
  • Select and employ advanced statistical procedures to obtain actionable insights as well as cross-validating models to ensure their generalizability.
  • Produce technical and non-technical reports in partnership with other team members for socialization of actionable insights as well as partnering with business users to come up with appropriate marketing/sales interventions that help drive business growth and/or effectiveness of existing investments
  • Analyze and make recommendations on all facets of sales, marketing, customer experience, business support and finance organizations in targeted KCP markets.
  • Lead change management plans and execution with all levels of appropriate functions within the $3.5B KCP business; Drive the development of actionable insights and capability change plans to ensure a successful analytics practice as part of the global center of excellence and its evolution.
  • Ensure organizational visibility into data and analytics solutions implementation and ongoing success to our marketing/sales effectiveness and customer retention efforts that is linked to our strategic and annual business plans.
  • Engage necessary stakeholders throughout the organization to develop recommended path forward to accelerate implementation, remedy issues, and/or seize opportunities; Collaborate with KCP business to drive appropriate development and define tactical execution plans as it pertains to growth strategy changes.
  • Collate and establish workflows for cleaning data as well as instituting ETL processes from various data sources for later use with other teams (help in data standardization and cleanup).

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in an associated field required. Graduate Level Degree preferred in Business or Data analytics, such as MBA, MSIS.
  • 5+ years of business analysis role using latest data mining and analysis techniques. B2B experience is preferred, but not required.
  • 1+ years of AI/ML experience as a data scientist (especially in traditional econometric modeling, as well as AI/ML routines) is preferred.
  • Ability to work across the business tool landscape particularly with databases, Enterprise resource planning tools like SAP, CRM solutions like sales force, Microsoft Office especially PowerPoint and advanced excel features such as Macros and Power Pivot.

Skills and Traits

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure platform and tools like Snowflake, Sparkflows, Databricks/Jupyter notebooks and AI Factory for AI/ML is required.
  • Ability to translate model findings into business terms, and must have skills using Power BI, Power Pivot; ETL tools such as SQL and statistical analytic tools such as R and Python; proven analytic and data mining skills along with demonstrable history of devising and overseeing data-centered projects.
  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and appropriate executive presence required for effective interactions with senior members of the KCP Global leadership team and regional sales leadership.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestic/internationally as needed up to 25% of the time.
