Job Description Summary
This position supports Lamb Westons Core 4 values by providing administrative support to the Global Engineering organization, and directly supports the Sr Director, Global Engineering with critical budgeting and capital activities. This position supports the Capital Projects teams, both domestic and international; the Technical Services teams; the Commercialization team; and the Technical Innovation team. The Global Engineering Coordinator is based out of our Kennewick, Washington, Global Engineering office.

Additionally, this role performs complex, advanced, diversified and confidential administrative duties. Coordinates and communicates Sr. Director's instructions and desires with various individuals of significant importance both within the company and externally. Schedules appointments and arranges meetings, conferences and travel. Organizes and maintains correspondence and projects, following up on pending matters with limited direction. May need to establish new procedures for specific work/projects. Handles highly confidential information and files related to current and future projects and/or Mergers & Acquisitions. Prepares special reports and correspondence, summarizing and analyzing data. Communicates with individuals at all levels in the organization, industry and community. Organizes and expedites work through Sr. Director's office and initiates follow-up action. Operates a personal computer and appropriate software. Assignments are broad in nature and usually require originality and ingenuity.

Job Description

  • Provide administrative support to various members of Global Engineering organization to include Sr. Director, including calendar management, meeting, travel coordination (both domestic and international), processing of expense reports and invoices and various other administrative duties, all with a sense of urgency and confidentiality.
  • Support department document retention process and systems including project archives, SharePoint application support, and other related document applications .
  • Responsible for meeting and event planning to include Monthly Global Engineering Meetings, Lamb Weston University training programs, PQ Training, APPT training, and other special or non-regular occurring meetings.
  • Creates, proofs, and distributes Power Point presentations for various audiences.
  • Assists in drafting, proofing and editing various communications and project plans.
  • Communicates in a highly professional manner with individuals at all levels in the organization, industry and community.
  • Provides general office support for Global Engineering, including ensuring efficient and professional operation of office; exercising discretion and diplomacy at all times.
  • Provides SAP training and support as requested.
  • Initiates and supports monthly forecasting and spend/budget for all teams within Global Engineering.
  • Supports Sr Director, Global Engineering with Capital Process administrative needs.
Identify administrative continuous improvements and to develop tools to assist department staff in their effectiveness.

Job Qualifications

Position Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelors or Associates degree in Engineering, Business or associated field strongly preferred.
  • 4 years of administrative experience supporting multiple leaders.
  • 4 years of administrative experience managing budgets; SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce quality, timely and accurate work under short time constraints.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment and demonstrate a high degree of tact, discretion, flexibility, diplomacy and confidentiality.
  • Must be able to handle company confidential information and data requiring highest degree of attention to preserve confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Time management, organization and prioritization abilities required, including the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited direction.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Word and PowerPoint.

Physical Requirements:

Incumbent must have the ability to effectively perform all of the following physical demands without assistance:
  • Sitting for up to 8 hours a day
  • Lift up to 15 pounds occasionally (up to 25 pounds infrequently).
  • Walking on various manufacturing facility surfaces
  • Climbing up ladders and stairs
  • Exposed to plant noises and vibrations
  • Temperature changes from hot to cold depending on work area
  • Ability to safely operate a Company vehicle.
  • Travel as needed to the plants or domestically
