The Global Product Manager (Services/Single-Phase UPS/Rack PDU) is responsible for the development and introduction of global service offerings, coinciding with new product development. The position will work closely with product development teams from the Uninterruptible Power Supply and Rack Power Distribution Unit lines of business, as well as regional service execution teams. Position can work from a Vertiv office in Columbus, Providence, Raleigh, Austin, or Detroit.

Responsibilities:

• Define service requirements for new product development programs that are globally consistent and have high attach rates to the hardware
• Write the initial scope of work documents for service of new products
• Identify the specific SKU deliverables needed to support new product introduction and the release of those SKUs, including pricing in line with regional expectations.
• Provide input to new product development teams on concepts and prototypes for DFS (Design for serviceability)
• Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking of service offerings
• Development of service documentation for new products as well as on-going maintenance of service manuals.
• Identify, setup and release of spare parts as part of the product development process
• Define and deliver training to service execution teams to an acceptable readiness level (train the trainer), prior to release of new hardware platforms.
• Standardize service offerings across all regions globally
• Frequent cross-functional interactions with global service teams, product management, R&D, engineering, and executive management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years technical, product/service, strategic planning, marketing or directly related experience; Master's in Engineering or Business preferred
• Excellent communications skills - written & verbal
• Ability to facilitate positive and effective cross-functional relationships across multiple LOBs, the GBU and geographic locations
• Strong project-management skills
• Computer skills - proficiency in Microsoft-Office suite
