Global Product Manager at MSP
MSP, A division of TSI, is a fast-moving and agile organization experiencing tremendous growth from our field-proven proprietary technology designed to vaporize liquid precursors in challenging Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) processes. We are looking for a person who wants to join a dynamic and motivated team, serving the fast-paced growing semiconductor market.

The Global Product Manager - Vaporizers is a strategic position responsible for developing and executing comprehensive global strategic and tactical business plans to optimize the profitable growth of MSP's Vapor Product Line. The person in this role will play a key role in all aspects of the product life cycle, encompassing both upstream and downstream activities. This unique position includes both traditional product, price, and promotion aspects of product management but will also be heavily involved in providing technical direction and opportunity evaluation for growing the business. The successful candidate will work closely with customers to assess applications for vaporizers, liquid flow controllers and filters and identify potential solutions. The position is responsible for identifying business opportunities, conducting Voice of Customer (VOC) research, developing value propositions, and associated business and technical product requirements. The Product Manager is also responsible for providing strategic input to the product roadmap, executing on projects defined in the road map, and participating as a key member on new product development teams. Critical to success is a technical understanding of how MSP technologies enhance the value proposition of our partners. Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, thin film coating processes, and precursor delivery is highly beneficial.

MSP has experienced significant growth in this business and this position will play a key role in further expanding the Vaporizer Product Line. We are looking for a highly motivated, results driven professional to accelerate our growth in this market space. We are seeking a person with experience managing a technical product line, solid technical capabilities, a passion for results, and a desire to drive product line growth within the MSP organization.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with MSP, you will:

  • Identify and evaluate business opportunities through Voice of Customer (VOC) activities like analyzing customer needs, market drivers, technology developments, intellectual property landscape, regulatory drivers, and competitor posturing of assigned product line segments, leading to the creation of a robust product roadmap
  • Develop compelling business cases for identified opportunities, including market segmentation, customer needs (critical customer requirements), product positioning, detailed financial analysis, and market risks
  • Provide collaborative leadership on new product development projects throughout the program, considering tradeoffs via cost/benefit analysis to ensure delivery of critical customer requirements
  • Develop and execute product launch plans, including value propositions, messaging development, training needs, and sales collateral tools
  • Define, implement and maintain overall product marketing for assigned product lines, driving annual go-to-market initiatives designed to optimize growth and profitability of MSP's products
  • Partner with global cross-functional marketing team members in the development and execution of multi-media marketing programs to support lead generation and advancement of prospects to sales
  • Manage pricing for assigned products, including conducting benchmarking activities, recommending price levels, and implementing pricing strategy
  • Manage product life cycle, making ROI-based decisions on product continuation and end-of-life programs
  • Provide demand forecasts and market intelligence to Operations to optimize balance between customer service levels, working capital, and capacity utilization
  • Evaluate adjacent and new market segments for assigned value stream(s). Develop market segment revenue potential. Identify and propose market-based solutions offering growth potential.
  • Analyze financial performance of released products. Make ROI-based decisions on continuation engineering activities and margin improvement opportunities.
  • Travel to support activities, such as opportunity identification, technical evaluations, training, and visiting customers and potential business partners both domestic and international (25%+). The business is currently heavily focused in Asia.
What Do You Need?
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science related field
  • 5+ years of progressive Product Management of a technical product line
Desired
  • MBA
  • Semiconductor equipment or component market experience
Knowledge
  • Strategic and collaborative leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize and drive for results
  • Solid understanding of the complexities of the global marketplace
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective and influential presentation skills

*This position requires a minimum of 25% travel, including international
