Summary Statement

Sells and serves food and beverage items at the Warms Springs and/or Quail Hollow golf courses.

This position is open to all interested persons age 19 years and older.

This position works evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This position is At-Will.

Essential Functions

Prepares and sells concession items. Drives cart and sells beverages on the golf course. Operates barbeques and other related food preparation and cooking equipment. Operates food preparation equipment. Complies with all food and beverage serving and handling regulations. Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times. Takes orders and utilizes point-of-sale systems to complete transactions. Uses positive customer service skills to interact with golf course patrons. Performs cleaning, light janitorial, and inventory duties.

Requirements

Experience working in a restaurant and/or customer service role.

Working knowledge of basic kitchen operations; basic food safety regulations; general customer service practices.

Ability to perform basic mathematical functions quickly and accurately; interact with customers in a friendly and tactful manner; provide a high level of customer service to patrons; operate stoves, barbecues, and basic cooking and food preparation equipment; maintain an acceptable appearance at all times as to both dress and personal hygiene; adhere to health code standards; interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner; display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of City employees, the general public and other organizations; communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance; complete assignments in a timely fashion; understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations; maintain prompt and regular attendance; and perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Superior Candidates
One-year experience working in a food-service industry or related role
First Aid and CPR certification
TIP certification (Alcohol server permit)
Food handler permit

Special Requirements
All applicants must be able to successfully pass City of Boise background check processes which include reference checks and criminal history checks.

Working Conditions

Physical Efforts:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally lifting/carrying up to 35 lbs and rarely lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. Also the employee is occasionally pushing/pulling up to 35 lbs and rarely pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. The noise level is rarely loud. Work includes sensory ability to talk, hear, smell, touch and feel. Work in this position also includes close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Employees will sit, stand, walk, reach, grasp, climb and balance. Position requires hand/finger dexterity.

Working Environment:
The work environment will include inside conditions and outdoor weather conditions. Employees work in/at places where they are exposed to mechanical, electrical hazards.
