You'll play a key role in focusing on executive compensation programs on a global scale, including executive base pay, annual incentive plan design, long-term equity compensation programs. In addition, you will prepare material for the compensation committee meetings, proxy reporting, external trends analysis, regulatory disclosure, and compliance. You will collaborate with the Rewards Center of Excellence (COE) team and senior HR leaders to support global compensation projects applicable to executive compensation.

Being an expert in executive compensation is essential, as you will be engaging with stakeholders in a customer back manner. Having leadership skills and the ability to engage, influence, inspire, and execute will drive success. Previous work experience in a global company. Significant experience managing global equity programs, preparing board materials, and interacting with executive leadership up to and including the CEO. Additionally, demonstrated success in collaborating across boundaries within and outside of HR is critical. Previous experience of lean and agile working methodologies is also desirable.

  • Develop a robust and comprehensive executive rewards strategy/philosophy and plans that align with business objectives and attracts top talent - Anticipate future trends and implications for the executive rewards program/Provide ongoing evaluation of incentive programs to ensure alignment with strategy
  • Provide global equity plan design, administration, analysis, evaluation of best practices, and monitoring the development of applicable laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Regularly reviews plan participation, usage, and modeling of performance unit scenarios
  • Prepare materials for presentation to the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors
  • Design and administration of pay programs, pay structures, short-term and long-term incentive design, market intelligence, research, and pay administration for the global Executive Management and above population
  • Partner internally to develop reporting systems and internal review processes and audits
  • Develop executive communication and education programs
  • Partner on compliance, accounting, and tax issues
  • Provide input for the preparation of the Compensation Discussion and Analysis section of the annual proxy filing

Here are some skills, attributes, and qualifications you will have:

  • Previous experience in consulting and executive compensation, including responsibility for preparing materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board
  • Minimum of 10 years professional experience in Human Resources and/or Finance; preferably in a global environment
  • Strong hands-on experience in design and administration of long-term incentive programs
  • Thorough understanding of stock plan design and grant practice implications for countries around the globe
  • Superior data analysis skills and demonstrated ability to draw meaningful conclusions and action plan based on quantitative data, employee survey data, competitive data and anecdotal observations
  • Demonstrated ability to design programs that are effective in motivating results and optimizing performance
  • Ability to integrate key points of view of multiple stakeholders in the executive compensation review cycle (e.g., Board, management, investors)

The on-target earnings range is $168,000 -$224, 000 which includes a base salary of $120,000 - $160,000, short-term (20 % of base), and long-term (20 % of base) incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on a candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies. Salary is one component of the Western Union total compensation package, which includes short-term incentives, multiple health insurance options, accident and life insurance, flexible time off, and access to best-in-class development platforms, to name a few!
