Job Description Summary:
The World Ready Team is seeking an experienced leader with a strong background in globalization and localization to lead a highly engaging team responsible for content localization.

The World Ready Team provides enterprise-wide product content and product notifications. The team is responsible for global governance and excellence that supports high-quality, end-to-end customer experiences. The team designs and delivers content, back-end globalization framework and localization support for all PayPal Inc. products.

The localization team in PayPal is centered around linguistic excellence, a great team environment, and cutting-edge technology. We are responsible for the translation and cultural adaptation of all of PayPal's products. Our work is not just about translation, it is about providing our customers with an experience that feels local.

To be successful in this role, you will need a blend of skills including leadership, influence, business insight, budget planning, communications, and project management skills. You will partner with key stakeholders and local market leaders to create comprehensive language experiences across PayPal's products based on business requirements and insights.

You have a customer-first mindset, are highly analytical, have a passion for the global audience, are incredibly resourceful, and can work under tight deadlines. Responsibilities
  • Lead develop, mentor and inspire a global team responsible for localization
  • Work across large and diverse teams to drive the overall cross-functional strategy and localization alignment across programs and regions.
  • Manage the localization translation strategy, focusing on vendor management, the translation process and technology, translation review management, and budget allocation.
  • Create and continuously improve the international launch process to meet current business needs and scale to future requirements.
  • Hire and retain top talent for the team.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Experienced perspective based on business and organizational transformation, active collaboration, agility, technical excellence, and advising senior business and technology leaders successfully.
  • 10+ years of people and organizational management in a global enterprise environment.
  • 10+ years of experience in localization, internationalization, international product development, or international business management experience.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally; demonstrated leadership, influencing, and execution skills at the executive level.
  • Outstanding communication skills; strong presence in front of senior executives.
  • Experience in enabling and growing talent.
