The Head of Petcare Business Intelligence is responsible for gathering and interpreting insights and data to inform business strategy, forecasting, and marketing effectiveness. This leader will track performance to our Petcare business objectives and assimilate information from industry trends, market research, sales data, and marketing metrics to inform decision making across the Petcare business unit.

This role will serve as a member of the Petcare Marketing Leadership Team. As a leader in the Petcare organization, they will model Zoetis core beliefs and communicates the importance of conducting business in a manner consistent with Zoetis values and behaviors

Position Responsibilities

  • Track performance to key Petcare business objectives and proactively identify areas requiring analysis and refinement of strategy
  • Lead the full marketing team to consolidate information across a variety of data sources including market research, industry trends, sales data, and marketing metrics to create a holistic view of performance drivers
  • Present insights, business implications and strategic recommendations to the Marketing and Petcare Leadership teams to enable data driven decision making
  • Analyze the impact of the current go-to-market structure, systems, and processes and recommend/implement opportunities for optimization
  • Identify and quantify drivers of current and future sales performance
  • Increase accuracy of financial and demand forecasts
  • Understand the scale and scope of future revenue and investment opportunities
  • In close collaboration with the Head of Data, Digital, and Growth Marketing, leverage the insights from Marketing Mix Modeling and Next Generation Marketing test and learns to inform short and long term performance. Co-create methodology to incorporate measurement best practices into our forecasting approach and decision making.
  • As a member of the Marketing Leadership Team, facilitate a culture of continuous growth, serving as a thought partner and coach to brand managers around financial performance
  • Foster an environment where feedback is open, ongoing and consistent.

Education and Experience
  • BS /BA and relevant experience required. MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of related business intelligence experience
  • Understanding of marketing measurement and insights

Technical Skills and Requirements
  • Ability to translate business objectives and brand strategy into analytical functions and consumer-centric engagement tactics
  • Strong communicator, able to work directly, frequently, with numerous teams to execute these tactics successfully against business goals, with ability to drive initiatives across multiple stakeholders to achieve goal
  • Data-driven mindset and organized, fast-moving, adaptable
  • Demonstrated knowledge of organizational acumen and working in a matrix organization
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in developing and executing customer strategies, programs and tactics to achieve and surpass organizational goals
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills; strong negotiation/persuasion skills.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office and ability to learn Zoetis systems)
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and make thoughtful, fair decisions based on relevant info.
  • Ability to interact with/influence Sr. Management and peers with confidence and conviction
