JOB SUMMARY
The Heavy Equipment Operator operates a straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor type vehicle or other equipment to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers, or chutes, and to load trucks or railcars.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Comply with Boral Safety Policies and Procedures
- Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility
- Prior to using equipment, inspects the equipment and the site to ensure that everything is in proper working order
- Able to operator different types of heavy equipment such as front-end loader, dozers, graders, rollers, excavators, dump trucks
- Experience in reading GPS designs in dozer
- Operate light equipment such as vacuum or water truck
- Assist in training new employees to operate equipment
- Performs routine maintenance on loader or other equipment such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
- Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility
