Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pediatric hematopoietic stem cell transplant for patients with malignant diseases, immune deficiency and immune dysregulation conditions. Applicants who have completed pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship with or without a dedicated stem cell transplantation fellowship are preferred. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board-certified/Board-eligible in pediatric hematology/oncology.
Teaching responsibilities may include didactic and clinical instruction of junior faculty, residents, post-doctoral fellows, and medical students.
Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient and outpatient care focused on children, adolescents and young adults receiving hematopoietic stem cell transplant. The candidate will also play an active role in training Pediatric Hematology/Oncology clinical fellows. It is preferred that the candidate has additional training after completion of fellowship training such as a pediatric BMT fellowship or years as an attending physician. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing stem cell transplant for both malignant and non-malignant disorders.
This position will be based in the Cell Therapy and Transplant Section in the Division of Oncology
