The High Voltage Wiring & Safety Lead will lead a team to define detailed specifications and requirements for various high voltage PASD components on the vehicles such as HV power distribution units (main and aux), HV fusing and interfaces to LV systems.


  • Lead team for the design and release of high voltage power distribution for the complete HV network of electric vehicles, including high voltage PASD components, HV power distribution, connectors type, HV cable sizing, HV fusing as well as interfaces to LV systems.
  • Lead team for the design grounding requirements for all EVs and HV systems, including equipotential ground and distribution. Define vehicle-level requirements and performance targets of the HV system for the complete vehicle.
  • Responsible for discussing with components or sub-assembly (e.g. PDUs) suppliers to ensure the on-time, cost and quality delivery. For relevant components/sub-assembly, be accountable for Component Product Card definition and specifications according to CNHi Standards. Collaborate with Platform, Purchasing and Manufacturing for strategic buy and make decisions.
  • Lead team to support D-FMEA, S-FMEA and P-FMEA or other methodologies for the analysis and assessment of failure modes and risks.
  • Secure design and release to CNHI Engineering Central of all the schematic diagrams and drawings (e.g. harnesses, grounding, PDU design, components drawings) in a timely manner and in full respect of internal quality standard.
  • Be accountable to consider and direct design choices on components under their responsibility, to secure compliance with all the electrical safety best practices and relevant international standard. Position will be also responsible to guarantee training and alignment of the team to innovative practices.
  • Support the development and definition of the High Voltage Architecture and vehicle Systems Requirements and Specifications. Analyze and evaluate HV safety related requirements as result of system design measures in close collaboration with corresponding domains.
  • Lead team for correct and inclusive definition of all the DV/PV test plan, both at component and vehicle level.
  • Support HV safety initiatives across functions and teams working with Product Safety and Compliance.
  • Make decisions in the areas of design within the specific perimeter of responsibility and project risk trade-offs that impact program cost or delivery without sacrifice of quality expectations.
  • Travel up to 15%
  • This role pays from $111,000-$170,500 + up to 15% bonus structure (actual salaries will vary and be based on various facrots such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, or another relevant subject area.
  • 8 plus years of experience in designing, developing, and producing ground-breaking high voltage HV electrification vehicles with focus on power distribution units (main and aux), HV fusing and interfaces to LV systems.

Prefe Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven knowledge of automotive and off-road machinery Safety Standard for electric and hybrid vehicles (e.g. ISO 23316, ISO 16230, ISO-DIS 23285, ECE-R100).
  • Effective knowledge and proven experiences of all FMEA principles (design/component/systems/process FMEA).
  • Well-honed quantitative, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Experience leading, developing and managing multiple projects.
  • Track record of improving quality and on time delivery across the engineering organization.
  • Experience successfully launching new products on time.
  • Experience establishing and working in partnerships with global suppliers.
  • Solid track record of delivering results.
  • Proven track record to understand business partner organization's goals and objectives.
  • Understanding of Electrical/Electronic Vehicle Architectures for hybrid vehicles (Automotive, Agricultural or Construction Equipment).
  • Knowledge on functional safety (ISO25119, ISO13849 and ISO15998) standards.
  • Knowledge on high voltage components functionalities and HW specifications (eg. Inverters, DC/DC, Batteries, BMS, etc.)
  • Knowledge in components diagnostics.
  • Basic knowledge in CAN bus network management (Standard SAE J1939 / CAN 2.0B / Standard SAE J1939DA, ISO 11783-ISOBUS) and LIN communication protocol.
  • Basic knowledge of V-Model development process, phases, and gates.
  • Knowledge on Vehicle Homologation requirements and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of DOORS or Polarion.
  • Experience working in multi-location teams.
  • Ability to work transversally with different teams and interface easily with other engineering fields.
