JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

The HR Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting quantitative and qualitative data relative to employee, job, compensation, and performance trends. This role will be responsible in answering questions that impact our workforce using the available tools to tell a meaningful story. The HR Analyst will deliver actionable insights to the business to ensure maximum efficiency for the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment to retention to offboard.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop strong relationships with leaders in HR, business segments, and executive team
  • Respond to HR data requests on an ad-hoc basis using the available tools to assist the company in identifying trends and/or insights of our workforce
  • Manage and analyze workforce data to generate meaningful business insights
  • Confidently present insights to varying levels of the organization
  • Monitor HR data integrity and coordinate with internal partners to identify and resolve root cause
  • Develop and maintain a HR data dictionary of data and metrics
  • Build/Implement tools to share our workforce insights with our HR and business leaders to drive appropriate actions by means of ad hoc reports, templates, dashboards, and/or scorecards
  • Maintain a HR data warehouse by partnering with internal/external partners to ensure accuracy, security and availability of information
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and protection to meet all regulatory and company expectations
  • Strengthen the analytic capability of our HR function by influencing those you work with
  • Teach leaders how to use HR data and make fact-based decisions


Minimum Qualifications -

Education:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in human resources, psychology, business, computer science, or related field required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.

Experience:

At minimum, 5 years of experience in an analyst role including two years of HR data experience required, preferably in a medium to large size company. Experience in leading projects that leverage data analysis to drive appropriate actions. The use of data analysis/visualization tools (i.e. MS Excel, PowerBI, Tableau) is paramount to the success of someone in this role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills with internal/external partners
  • Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint expert with preferred experience with macros/VBA
  • Detail oriented
  • Able to creatively problem solve when barriers are revealed
  • Able to summarize results of complex analysis to present findings in a simplistic manner
  • Technically savvy with ability to learn new tools/techniques of performing analysis
  • Curious learner that is always looking for a more efficient way of doing things
  • Experience with building or maintaining a database/warehouse of HR transactions
  • Experience with a transactional HR system (i.e. Oracle HCM, PeopleSoft, Workday)
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fact paced environment, adjusting priorities in response to business needs/requests
