Position Summary

This position provides human resources consultation and performs a wide range of human resource-related actions using sound HR knowledge and expertise in support of designated business units. The role defines and executes HR strategies that enable accomplishment of business objectives. Develops workforce plans and an understanding of external customer trends and issues in the industry that could potentially impact business. Utilizes knowledge of various human resources functions to provide tactical support to line managers. Acts as liaison with other HR functions and works collaboratively to achieve goals. Provides change management leadership as needed. Maintains high degree of confidentiality and professionalism; demonstrates ability to influence; and is proactive in managing risks and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Works directly with MFA employees, managers, and leaders on issues impacting the employee life cycle and in support of MFA-wide and unit-based goals.

  • Serves as liaison to and collaborates with HR Subject-matter experts (SME) on a variety of matters as needed.

  • Reviews and resolves personnel-related issues and concerns using sound judgment and broad knowledge of employment law and human resources principles and practices. Responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in all responsibilities.

  • Serves as HR representative on various MFA inter-department teams or councils.

  • Confers and collaborates with management to address and resolve issues; as well as implement proactive business solutions.

  • Administers the MFA the off-boarding process for staff and physicians, including performing Exit Interviews.

  • Assists with New Hire Orientation and Onboarding for new employees.

  • Assists with the development, implementation, delivery, and tracking of Manager and Staff Training.

  • Assists with the development and analysis of various HR Metrics.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Business or a related degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience are required.
  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP Certification are highly desirable.

Experience

  • Four years of human resource experience with strong emphasis on performing HR generalist responsibilities is required.
  • Prior experience supporting medical/clinical operations is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
