What You'll Do

The unit HR Manager is responsible for all HR activities inour Chicago-area office. This includes,but is not limited to the following:

• Partnerwith business leaders for all employee related initiatives

• Ensureexcellence in service delivery, for HR processes (i.e. performance appraisal,rewards and recognition etc.)

• Design andimplement talent management and retention activities

• Drive andshare HR best practices

• Create andcontinuously work to improve on-boarding process for all new hires withinregion including client specific on-boarding

• Performall employee off-boarding exercises

• Instructnew-hires and other employees on how to use intranet, HRIS, and other Sogetibased systems

• Answeremployee questions regarding paid time off, holidays, FMLA, leave requests,etc.

• Assist andadvise Vice President on how to stay in compliance with company policies andemployment laws

• Listen toand addresses employee concerns

• Coach andadvise managers and employees

• Provideguidance to managers regarding disciplinary actions

• Planemployee events to increase employee engagement- business meetings, holidayparties, happy hours, volunteering events, etc.

• Organizeinternal counselor program - a mentor/management program designed to keepemployees connected and to chart career path while working at various clientsites

• Lead yearly performance appraisal and promotionprocess

• Proactivelycommunicate HR updates to employees

• Constantlycreate new initiatives to improve employee connectivity, involvement, andattrition

• Work withthe immigration team to process work visas for non-US citizen employees

• Interfacewith the recruiting team to drive talent acquisition

• Coordinateyearly compensation management activities

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor`sdegree in human resources or related field is required

• 5 years ofexperience as a HR Generalist

• PHR/SPHRpreferred

• Knowledgeof federal and state employment laws and regulations and the ability to clearlyarticulate and apply human resources principles and practices to broad andcomplex issues

• Excellentcommunication and negotiation skills

• Ability towork with employees, supervisors, managers and directors at all levels toidentify problems and develop creative solutions, both independently and incooperation with others on sensitive and confidential matters

• Must beable to provide guidance and counsel to senior management on employee relationsand employment issues.

• Demonstratedability to operate effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Excellenttact, judgment, discretion, confidentiality, and diplomacy
