As an Entry Level HR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting various human resources functions within the organization. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR operations, employee relations, and talent management. The ideal candidate will be passionate about human resources, possess strong communication skills, and have a desire to contribute to the overall success of our company.

A successful team member displays strong communication skills when communicating with employees by actively listening, seeking to understand issues, working with managers and HR leadership on issue resolution, and maintains confidentiality throughout the process.

Here are the key responsibilities of this position:

  • Recruitment Support, as needed to back-up the Talent Acquisition team:
    • Assist in the coordination of recruitment processes, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience.
  • Onboarding and Orientation:
    • Facilitate new hire onboarding activities, including preparing orientation materials and conducting orientation sessions.
    • Ensure new employees have the necessary tools and information to integrate seamlessly into the company.
  • HR Administration:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system.
    • Assist with the administration of HR policies and procedures.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Respond to employee inquiries and provide basic information on HR policies and procedures.
    • Support the resolution of minor employee relations issues under the guidance of HR leadership.
  • Benefits Administration:
    • Assist with benefits enrollment processes and address basic benefits-related inquiries from employees.

Pay Range: $21 - $26 per hour (based on relevant work experience). This is a hourly, non-exempt position.

Must Haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, strongly preferred.
  • HR internship or related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic HR principles and practices preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Friendly and dedicated to great service.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test (THC excluded).
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, work independently and as part of a team.
