Job Title: HRIS and Payroll System Analyst

Job Summary:

EMCOR Mechanical Services has an immediate need for a HRIS and Payroll System Analyst in Downers Grove, IL who will provide training and support primarily, but not limited to, COINS Payroll and HR modules as well support team members in other related applications (job costing, service, accounts payable and accounts receivable).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with a team to provide advanced support of existing software applications and facilitate new software implementations (training, troubleshooting, upgrade testing and documentation) primarily but not limited to COINS PR and HR
  • Devises or modifies procedures to solve business problems and to accommodate changes in PR and HR legislation or policies, considering computer systems capabilities and desired results
  • Diagnoses issues reported by end-users and finds root cause and solutions, recording findings in the help desk ticket tracking software
  • Communicates status of open actions to project leads/IT management and key business users
  • Frequently interacts and follows up with internal customers, support team, and software vendor(s) as required in problem-solving, testing, and implementations
  • Assists in maintaining user logins, passwords, and access within the established security guidelines
  • Travel as required in support of the operating companies in order to gain a more intimate knowledge of business operations, assist in software implementations, and train end users
  • Transfers knowledge and trains users and other members of IT on best use of feature/functions available in supported applications

Qualifications:
  • Three (3+) years work experience with COINS or other related software as a Payroll and/or HRIS Admin
  • Four (4) year college degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Data Extraction and Report Writing tools such as Microsoft Access, Crystal Reports or similar software preferred
  • Experience in conducting small and/or large group training sessions in person or virtually
  • Experience supporting the some or all of the following modules: HR and Payroll, Job Cost, AR, A/P, Contract Billing, Work Order Management
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, self motivated, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage several simultaneous tasks using good time management
