We are currently seeking applications to fill the following job opening at Celgard where we develop and manufacture membrane battery separators that are critical components used in lithium-ion batteries for electric drive vehicles (EDVs) and energy storage systems (ESS).

Job Description:

-The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing Human Resources support to Polypore corporate office by administering a variety of HR programs and procedures throughout the organization. Directly supports one or more HR leaders, utilizing knowledge of company operations, policies, and department functions, state and federal laws and guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs primary responsibilities associated with administering and coordinating one or more human resources core processes, including but not limited to, benefits, compensation, onboarding, employee relations, training, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.
  • Serves as focal point for policy and procedure questions
  • Assists HR leaders with administrative tasks (mailings, calendaring, onboarding, etc.)
  • Assures the application of processes remains consistent with company processes and practices
  • Identifies change requirements and recommends implementation plans
  • Interacts regularly with HR representatives across the business
  • Gathers data from multiple sources and performs moderate to complex analyses, generating reports supportive of organizational metrics and client services
  • Maintains functional metrics and visual workplace data and tools
  • With direction, exercises understanding of employment laws and regulations, reviews processes in area(s) of assignment(s) to identify issues and recommend solutions
  • Provides informed guidance to clients regarding understanding and use of HR applications within area(s) of assignments
  • Interacts, corresponds, and offers direction to managers and employees
  • Prepares and presents materials to HR customers and stakeholders
  • May develop and recommend training materials in support of assigned areas
  • May prepare materials associated with sensitive HR processes, such as analysis of Workday reports, talent analysis, performance management, retention, and business performance metrics

Requirements:
  • Minimum three years of human resources administrative experience
  • Associate degree in human resources, business or related discipline is required and a Bachelor's Degree in human resources or related discipline preferred.

Skills We Value:
  • Experience working in environment requiring basic understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Advanced PC skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Familiarity with Workday or similar HR business system
  • Effective and positive verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively present information to individuals and groups
  • Attention to detail with ability to manage HR data accurately and confidentially.
  • Proven organizational skills and project coordination experience.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks as well as redirect efforts quickly as demands change
  • Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and employees and vendors. Able to develop working relations and cultural awareness with global teams in Japan, France, China, India, Thailand etc.
  • Ability to make independent decisions within guidelines on a daily basis, addressing the best way to handle specific tasks.
