A DAY IN THE LIFE

Reporting to the SVP of Human Resources, this position is responsible for implementing and delivering HR strategies to support Montrose's Treatment Technology division - a global, high-growth, technical team with world's brightest engineers, scientists, and project managers. In this role, you will operate as a key business partner to a highly technical team that is focused on treating PFAS-contaminated water and converting waste into renewable natural gas. The division has tripled in size over the last four years and now has over 150+ employees based in the United States, Australia, and Europe (Sweden, Germany, Belgium).

This individual will be the leader of a high-performing, small HR team. Location is open; but our team is primarily located in Portland, ME; San Diego, CA and Atlanta, GA so those locations have fantastic synergies. You should expect and be motivated with domestic and/or international travel to meet with your global operational teams, for whom your programs and solutions are intended to develop.
  • Drive successful execution of global HR and talent management plans and processes including talent acquisition and retention, performance management, compensation, employee relations, workforce planning, diversity, succession planning, and change management.
  • Develop and facilitate talent strategies and implementation plans that identify, attract, and retain technical talent.
  • Partner closely with business leaders across to influence key organizational strategy, structure, communication, and people decisions that allow us to scale and grow globally as One Montrose.
  • Develop personal credibility and effective working relationships within the business to support its' global growth, assessing the levers needed to be pulled to make this happen, while creating a compelling and engaging strategy that is coordinated with Montrose's HR strategy.
  • Support employee engagement by helping to proactively identify opportunities and potential issues, as well as develop and implement solutions.
  • Facilitate the strategy and implementation of global HR processes, practices and policies for new countries that the business line enters into as part of its growth model, in accordance with our HR governance and operating model.
  • Support the development of a high performing, world class HR function that delivers partnership and support to the business.
  • Participate in the due diligence of prospective new acquisitions and interface extensively with management at the newly acquired organizations to integrate them into Montrose.
  • Demonstrate strong consultative and stakeholder management skills that result in people seeking them out, knowing they will provide measured advice with a value-added perspective.
  • Collaborates with Montrose's Corporate HR team to improve the programs, policies, practices and processes associated with meeting the global, strategic, and operational employee matters of the business.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of progressive human resources experience
  • Proven ability to effectively partner, coach and consult with senior level leaders across functions, businesses and/or countries
  • Presence, Confidence, Maturity and Emotional Intelligence
  • Keen ability to assess, develop and retain technical talent
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or support large-scale HR initiatives
  • Willingness and ability to handle multiple and competing priorities across different time zones and global teams
  • Ability to navigate a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent project management, prioritization, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Expert communication, conflict resolution skills and the confidence to address complex HR issues
  • Broad based, hands-on HR experience in the areas of: recruiting, performance management, compensation, employment policies and procedures, training and development and succession planning
  • Bachelor's Degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior global HR experience in a technical industry (e.g., environmental, engineering, research and development)
