Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Technician An I&C technician is responsible for calibrating, testing, troubleshooting, reworking, modifying and inspecting plant instrumentation and control components, systems and drives. including programmable logic controller.

The Skills Needed
An I&C technician must be able to measure and maintain the reliability and performance of instruments involving such work as inspecting, testing and diagnosing the operation conditions of the various plant components.

Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED is required, supplemented by specialized training in power plant instrument operation and maintenance.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Education.
• Two year degree in I&C/Electronics Technology or an equivalent commercial training program or US Navy Electronics Tech/I&C Technician program of training is required.
• PLC experience. Multiple platforms a bonus. Will need to be able to learn Mitsubishi & Siemens, but 1st hand experience not needed to start.
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience as an I&C Tech.
• Work in a cross cultural/lingual environment, often utilizing interpreters and possible short travel overseas for specific training.
• Travel. Multiple US/Canada sites under plan and construction.
• Will be expected to continuously learn and teach.
• Team work attitude.
