Valid has an outstanding opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer based in our Downers Grove manufacturing plant.

What will you do?

• Linux and Windows System hardening and auditing
• User account administration
• Windows and Linux server administration and patching
• Incident Management on-call shifts
• Automation of routine tasks
• Compliance and audit readiness
• Weekend and after hours availability (if required)

What are we looking for?

• Associate degree (or higher) in Information Technology or related technical field, or equivalent technical training, or 4 years IT infrastructure experience,
• Experience in Windows and Linux Operating System installation, software and patch management and system administration
• Working experience with Zabbix, Wazuh or other Linux and Windows auditing and monitoring tools
• Linux and Windows Server Operating Systems patching and hardening
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and associated frameworks
• Experience configuring and managing server hardware and peripherals
• General System administration
• Experience working in virtualized environments and configuring virtualization software
• Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check prior to employment.
• Knowledge of networking configurations, firewalls, load balancers, routing and switching

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with auditing and compliance
• Knowledge of AWS and cloud concepts
• Jira and Confluence or similar software
• Database administration
