This internship can be based in any of the following locations and is eligible for fully remote work: California, Georgia, Maryland, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

Role Summary

The Intern, Unified Communications and Learning Management ("the Intern") will have the opportunity to work with both the Global Technology Solutions (GTS) Training and Unified Communications (UC) teams on various projects and initiatives to enhance the user experience at the firm. The Intern will receive exposure to the Shearman Learning Management System and the migration of the firm's email system to the Microsoft 365 cloud service. This individual will partner with other GTS team members to support firm trainings, content creation and the operational upkeep of the firm's UC systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn about Learning Management System operations and the architectural design and configurations of UC platforms, including Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Exchange 2016
  • Support the Microsoft Suite rollouts, which includes coordinating schedules, learning how to build online content, and working with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with UC, Training and User Experience (UX) teams to facilitate the email migration of selected mailboxes.
  • Learn how to host in-person and Web-Ex based training programs and deliver curriculum in accordance with the mission and goals of Global Technology Solutions (GTS) and the firm.
  • Support multiple project schedules and stakeholders while gaining exposure to eLearning tools to implement adult learning theory for a variety of modalities, including online learning, mobile, videos, and micro learning.
  • Learn how to produce accurate and timely status reports. Assist with updating procedural and technical documents as needed.
  • Support GTS training efforts and initiatives throughout the firm and provide input into the GTS training strategy and specific eLearning training plans. Act as a project lead on various firm initiatives where input from the GTS Training team is required.
  • Participate in team meetings regarding training, operational efficiencies and/or UC technology trends.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Experience
  • Working towards High School Diploma or College Degree.
