IT Business Systems Analyst If you are a 4+yr IT Business Systems Analyst with a Bachelors degree in management information systems, computer science, or a closely related field, please read on!

What You Need for this Position "Bachelors degree in management information systems, computer science, or a closely related field
"Four years progressively responsible information systems experience involving applications, systems or network development, telecommunications, administration, and/or support
- Proficient in scripting language, databases, client-server models, network designs, and business applications

It is a plus if you have:
"Technical skills to configure off-the-shelf systems and/or to provide database query capability
- Experience working with asset and work management systems, power systems, water systems, or utilities operations
What You Will Be Doing - Implement, support, administer, manage, analyze, and troubleshoot
- Tasked with learning, developing, and supporting key delivery IT applications, including commercial off the shelf software, custom system integration, databases, web, mobile, and cloud solutions
- Design, develop, guide, and manage the implementation of infrastructure asset management programs, including the development of concepts, procedures, guidelines, analytical methods, business methods, decision-making systems, and data collection methods
- Develop and maintain field automation tools and integrate them with enterprise systems
- Provide technical expertise and assistance to other department staff regarding policies, procedures, and methods related to asset management
- Keep current with emerging asset management concepts, principles, and practices; Works closely with department managers and users to define and analyze business and operational problems, process improvement opportunities and requirements, and analyzes operational and business mandates
- Advise department managers on applications development, enhancement and maintenance issues; explains technology and process options and assists managers in analysis and decision making; analyzes management information needs and recommends data and reporting processes
- Develop, implement, and maintain applications, including upgrades and system modifications
- Apply sound IT development and support principles
- Troubleshoots system issues through data mining for patterns
- Coordinate research and recommends system solutions to meet business needs
- Works in the field to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
- Ensure successful integration of business systems with existing enterprise IT infrastructures
- Define and document business and technical requirements for business systems and components
- Keep IT systems up-to-date and related operations; updates documentation and training materials, user procedures, and instructions; maintains technical libraries and reference files
