Position Overview

Novelis is seeking an IT Program Manager who will lead the full life cycle of the Enterprise Solutions IT project portfolio in alignment with the global IT strategy and roadmap.

The Program Manager will lead all projects in the Enterprise Solutions portfolio. In addition, the program manager will collaborate with IT Project Managers in the IT PMO, providing oversight to ensure flawless execution of the portfolio. This will involve facilitating the definition of project charter, goals, timelines, tasks, and resource requirements; assisting in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; developing methods to monitor progress; and providing corrective supervision if necessary.

He/she will advocate on behalf of customers to represent their needs across all levels of the project teams, while concurrently maintaining cost, timelines, and requirement baselines, and adhering to strict change control processes. The candidate will work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes and will be expected to present details of plans across multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Comprehensive oversight and orchestration of the Enterprise Solutions project portfolio in alignment with the overall IT Strategy/Roadmap
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plan including schedule, communications, and applicable project management artifacts required for the work to be successfully completed and delivered
  • Lead and oversee project life cycle process from initiation through closure working closely with project managers
  • Partner with IT resources, key stakeholders and external parties to clearly define the project scope, costs, timelines, constraints, dependencies, and deliverables for projects within the program
  • Own and manage overall resource planning and capacity to ensure project plans are achievable with a true understanding of team bandwidth and constraints
  • Conduct periodic program progress meetings and tollgate reviews
  • Proactively identify program risks/mitigations, timeline and project dependencies
  • Represent the program, conduct overall program status meetings, and report on progress with senior leaders and key stakeholders
  • Understand and comply with all governance policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • PMP and SAFe / Scrum Master certifications
  • 8+ years of increasingly responsible project and program management experience, including successfully managing multi-year enterprise IT projects
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects; understanding and efficiently managing cross-dependencies
  • Must have experience managing at least 3 full/large scale SAP implementation and integrations
  • Strong business acumen as it pertains to global business processes, functions, and integration points between business functions
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to synthesize information and present ideas across multiple levels in the organization
  • Outstanding grasp of IT concepts and methodologies including SDLC, Agile/Scrum
  • Demonstrated experience in usage of application and functionality
  • Ability to influence and build coalitions among the various stakeholders and negotiates with authority to move projects forward
  • Detail-oriented, pragmatic, and analytical approach to accountabilities
  • Strong understanding and experience in cultivating and applying project change management
  • Experience working in a PMO
  • ServiceNow ITBM experience a plus

Location Profile

Novelis' Global Corporate Headquarters is located in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta Georgia and employs approximately 250 people. It is co-located with Novelis' North America regional office which employs approximately 225 people.
