Responsibilities The ITS Project Management Office (PMO) facilitates the implementation of projects and initiatives that have wide reaching impacts across campus. The PMO administers, consults, and trains on the Project and Portfolio Management tools, maintains project management processes and templates, and provides consultative services to campus partners on best practices. The IT Project Manager executes complex or specialized projects and adapts project management best practices to help ensure the successful completion of projects within the ITS project portfolio. This position will also support the central PMO team in developing technical program/project management best practices/templates and providing training/mentoring to project teams while also serving as a liaison between the central ITS PMO, other ITS teams, and campus partners.Executes complex or specialized projects and adapts project management best practices to help ensure the successful completion of projects within the ITS project portfolio; articulates IT project outcomes and deliverables in the context of strategic University initiatives in order to highlight ITS contributions to enhancing business value. Utilizes Project and Portfolio Management tool to track and report on project status.Participates in the Project Management Office initiative to enhance project manager performance through peer collaboration. Leverages the PPM/ITSM platform to produce executive level reports regarding the ITS project portfolio, associated resource allocations, project risks and constraints, lessons learned, and sponsor satisfaction. Provides training and guidance to PMO project managers.Collaborates with project managers to help ensure that high impact / high risk IT projects are delivered within the defined scope, quality, time and cost requirements.Coordinates Project-related communications with the ITS Marketing Communications Manager to promote effective methods of internal communications concerning reports, events, and changes affecting the PPM Program.Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: or a combination of appropriate post high school education and experience equal to eight years).A valid Florida or a Georgia driver's license or the ability to obtain one. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Ability to convey technical information to technical and non- technical users.Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives.Ability to gather, interpret, report, and/or edit information.Ability to strategically plan and serve as a catalyst for organizational change, cultivate a shared vision with others, and motivate others to transfer vision into action.Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.Knowledge of the principles and practices of project planning, development, and evaluation.Skill in preparing clear and concise reports, policies, procedures, correspondences, and other written materials.Preferred Qualifications PMP CertificationCertified Scrum MasterUniversity Information
