RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in search of a talented IT Scrum Master in San Antonio, TX.Job Duties/Functions:
  • Guide and coach Scrum Teams on Agile practices and principles while remaining flexible to new and emerging practices to boost team productivity
  • Lead the Scrum Teams to implement the 5 ideals of Scrum and the 5 values of DevOps
  • Coach the Scrum Teams in self-organization, cross-functional performance, domain knowledge and communicate effectively, both internally and externally
  • Work with Scrum Teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational product teams
  • Discover and resolve team blockers to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization
  • Continue to grow your knowledge of Lean, Agile, and DevOps to grow your skillset and drive organizational change
  • Contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization
  • Facilitate and support all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
  • Acts as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams assigned to Business as Usual and Innovation Engineering to ensure high engagement and cohesive working patterns


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience as an IT Scrum Master working in a professional field
  • Previous experience in infrastructure and Kanban
  • Exemplifies and promotes Agile values and principles
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills
  • Knowledge of multiple agile frameworks and methods (i.e. Scrum, Kanban, DSDM), understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
  • Able to adapt multiple styles into winning strategies that work for multiple teams
  • Adept at refinement, story splitting, velocity, retrospection, and other Agile techniques
  • Familiar with implementing and tracking metrics and measures and sharing outcomes with executive leaders to demonstrate value and show case team performance
  • Skilled at planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams
  • CSM Certificate holder (A-CSM preferred) and active in communities of practice
  • Life-long learner and seeker of knowledge; Constantly seeking to improve yourself and those around you
