Position Description
The IT Support Technician III's scope includes providing technical support and assistance to departments, faculty, staff, and students with the use of basic hardware and some software support and maintenance. This position will also specialize in hardware and software relevant to the department or unit, and manage area or unit IT projects in support of business operations.

Major/Essential Functions
With close supervision by management and/or project leads:
- The IT Support Technician III's scope includes providing technical support and assistance to departments, faculty, staff, and students with the use of basic hardware and some software support and maintenance.
- This position will collaborate with other departmental and school IT staff to achieve their needs within IT OP and procedures.

Preferred QualificationsExperience with multiple operating systems including Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh. advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office products.Recognized certification in PC Support field (Preferred CompTia A+ and Microsoft qualifications).Advanced experience with network domain environments. Non-technical skills required for this position include: Customer service orientation, collaborative interdependent work style, team oriented, excellent communication skills (written, technical writing, verbal, listening) and self-motivated.The position also requires a strong ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives, and exercise independent judgments based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities as well as a strong ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with fellow employees, HSC staff and students.
