Item Specialist's are accountable researching and capturing item attributes that is driven by required the item master standards. This role ensures that all new item requests for stocking and non-stocking, are researched, complete with in accordance with established master item standards, and meet service level standards. Item Specialist is focused on all segments and covers the United States for all VOS New Item Requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides turnaround of new product requests within established service level agreements
  • Works with suppliers as needed to obtain specifications and validate item attributes
  • Load item attributes consistently according to defined setup standards
  • Coach or train item requestors as needed to ensure appropriate data is being collected

Qualifications/Knowledge & Experience:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 1-3 years of business experience in a team oriented enviornment
  • PC proficient in Windows based software programs (MS Office)
  • Strong analytics and problem solving
  • Product knowledge a plus
  • Self motivated
  • Excellent communications skills required, written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail, Action Oriented, Deliver Results, and Customer Focused
  • Demonstrated team player and collaboration skills
