BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Java Developer in the Wilmington, DE!

Role: Java Developer
Location: Wilmington, DE OR New York, NY (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months

NOTE: Contract 2 Hire

Skills (required)
* 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE
* 3+ Years of experience in Microservices
* 3+ Years of experience in Spring boot

Skills (Nice to have)
* AWS public cloud
* SQL and/or NoSQL
* UI Development (Front end tools and skills)

Roles and Responsibilities
* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
* Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
* Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
* Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
* Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
* Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
* Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
* Passionate about building an innovative culture
* Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages in particular, the Java/J2EE stack
* Experience with building APIs - RESTful APIs, Web Services, Spring Boot
* Working knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, NoSQL.
* Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud).
* Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Version Control tools (BitBucket, Git)
* Strong coding fundamentals - Algorithms & Data Structures
* Angular JS, React and/or JavaScript UI development is a plus
* Advanced knowledge of architecture & application design processes.
* Experience with Jira and Confluence
* Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment
* Passion for automating & excelling at identifying gaps in processes
* Strong bias for action; ability to take ownership and think long-term.
* Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic
