Journeyman Industrial E & I Specialist

Georgia-Pacific's Mill in Camas, WA is looking for Journeyman Industrial E/I Specialist. We create value by safely operating and maintaining our equipment to meet production goals and to create a quality product for our customers.

This position may require you to work a rotating shift to include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Other schedules may be assigned depending on the business necessity.

Starting pay is $36.93 per hour with an opportunity to earn between $36.93 to $41.43/hour based on qualified training and assigned schedule. You will have the ability to earn more as you grow your skills and capabilities. Sign On Bonus of $1,000 paid on first full cycle paycheck.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Equipment and process troubleshooting
  • PLC and Drive Maintenance
  • Control Wiring Installation and Repair
  • Preventative maintenance task as assigned

          The Experience You Will Bring

          Requirements:

          • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
          • Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance experience in an Industrial E&I manufacturing environment to include experience in PLC
          • Demonstrate a safe and dependable work history
          • Computer experience (Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Programs, Work Order software)

            What Will Put You Ahead

            • Washington or Oregon State Journey Level E/I Licensure
            • Advanced technical degree/training in the Electrical & Instrumentation field
            • Experience in the pulp and paper industry
            • Proficiency in Industrial Motor Controls (PLC, motor controls, control valves, electrical distribution, industrial instrumentation for flow, pressure, & temperature)
