Junior Rank Faculty Position, Chronobiology and Sleep Institute - Tenure Track

The Chronobiology and Sleep Institute and Penn Sleep Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM) at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree. Expertise is required in the specific area of chronobiology, sleep, or fatigue. Basic Science and Physician Science applicants are welcome. The successful candidate will be housed in a PSOM department that best matches the candidate's scientific interests and skill set.

Teaching responsibilities may include medical school basic science education. The successful candidate may choose to participate in biomedical graduate studies education based on their research focus.

Clinical responsibilities may include patient care depending on the candidate.

Research or scholarship responsibilities require the development of an independent research program focused on an aspect of chronobiology, sleep, or fatigue. The successful candidate will be expected to attract and maintain extramural funding. The candidate must have demonstrated an outstanding record of scholarship including publications on sleep, chronobiology, or fatigue. A record of extramural funding is desirable but not essential.
