Kubernetes Contract Engineer

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Intermediate Kubernetes Contract Engineer for an opportunity in Remote.

Position Title: Kubernetes Contract Engineer

Location: Remote

Anticipated Start Date: 31th - May - 2024

Expected Duration: 12+ months contract

Job Type: [FULL TIME (>=30 HRS WEEKLY), [CONTRACT/TEMP TO HIRE/PERM], [Remote]

Pay Range: $48.82/hr - $58.67/hr

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Description:
Responsibilities:
* Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters and related services on AWS and/ or a customer cloud
* Use Helm and Operators to automate the deployment and management of applications and resources on Kubernetes
* Ensure the availability, scalability, and performance of Kubernetes clusters and applications
* Implement best practices and standards and troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes
* Mentor and train other team members on the best practices used for implementing and deploying on Kubernetes

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
* At least 3 years of experience in Kubernetes and AWS
* Strong knowledge of Kubernetes concepts, architecture, and components
* Hands-on experience with EKS, Helm, and Operators
* Proficient in scripting languages, such as Bash, Python, or Go
* Experience with CI/CD tools, such as GitLab or GitHub Actions
* Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus and Grafana
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work remotely and independently
* Certification in AWS or Kubernetes is a plus
* Experience with Hashicorp Vault Agent is a plus
* Experience with Service Mesh and API Gateway is a plus
