Under the direction of the Laboratory Director and Operations Manager, ensures that all sections of the laboratory operates efficiently. Responsible for understanding and maintaining all the laboratory procedures and protocols. Direct supervision of the technical and support staff. Coordinates laboratory services with all departments of the MG/NS Center for Outpatient Services. Has computer skills with basic understanding of computer interfaces. Has knowledge of specimen processing procedures and protocols. Required to perform all laboratory duties, as needed.

Qualifications
Required:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be able to demonstrate any knowledge or skills necessary to perform testing in his/her assigned laboratory section.

Experience: Required: 5 year or more in the Clinical Laboratory

Education/Degree: Required: Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science from an accredited college or university.

Licensure, Certifications or Registration: Required: ASCP, NCA or Equivalent
