Responsible for performing the various quality control tests required for manufactured batches. This individual will also be required to analyze customer plating bath samples on a regular basis as well as assist with technical service projects and troubleshooting.
Work closely with the production team as well as the technical services team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Control

• Prepare samples for routine testing and analysis on a daily basis

• Record results accurately in electronic database on a daily basis

• Monitor chemical inventory, lab supplies, and stored samples on a weekly and monthly basis

• Maintain a clean and professional work environment on a daily basis

• Perform Hull cell testing and passivation as required by quality control parameters

• Ensure timely and accurate analysis on a daily basis

• Prepare standards and reagents as dictated by procedures as needed

• Calibrate and use various instrumentation including but not limited to pH meter, conductivity meter, balance, HPLC, AA spectroscopy, UV-VIS spectroscopy, and TOC-IR on a daily/monthly basis

Customer Bath Analysis

• Plan and allocate resources for incoming customer bath samples on a weekly basis

• Ensure timely and accurate analysis on a daily basis

• Generate prefilled reports from data obtained on a daily basis

• Communicate results to customers in a professional and friendly manner on a daily basis

Technical Service and R&D Support

• Mix small scale (≤ 1 gallon) batches and working plating solutions as needed

• Monitor and assist with NSS corrosion testing as needed

• Assist with project cycles which can include but is not limited to cleaning, activation, plating, passivation, and rinsing on a small scale (≤ 5 gallons) as needed

• Help gather and package materials for off-site trials and testing as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Familiarity with titration methods
Familiarity with basic characteristic test methods (pH, specific gravity, colorimetric)
Ability to read and follow a written procedure with little to no supervision
Proven experience with common chemical terminology
Experience in a laboratory setting
Strong organizational skills
Able to work independently with limited supervision and in a team setting
Able to adapt to sudden changes of a plan
Desire to learn and acquire new skills to assist other functions with the laboratory setting
EDUCATION REQUREMENTS

Associate's degree in a STEM related field (Chemistry preferred but not required. A combination of work experience and education will be considered in lieu of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree).
