Job Description

GPI Geospatial is seeking a Land Surveying - Assistant Project Manager to process, QA, and edit of survey products in our Marietta, GA office. You will perform survey processing efforts including data reduction, boundary calculations, GNSS and differential level processing, control planning and creation of final deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Uses established workflows and procedures for the development and editing of survey products
  • Assists in developing quality survey products, including geospatial accuracy, proper field procedures, accurate calculations, CADD drafting and responsible for product quality and accuracy
  • Process field survey data inclusive of traverse computations, GPS (static and RTK), surface models and volumes
  • Generates accurate DTM and surfaces models via ground and aerial surveys
  • Assist with the data management and distribution of survey data
  • Develops field packages for local field crews
  • Research & calculate boundary and R/W lines
  • Processes control information, including GNSS and differential level processing
  • Develops control plans and surveyor's reports
  • Perform field data collection as required
Qualifications:
  • 5 plus years of experience as Project Surveyor
  • Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer (ORD) utilizing GDOT CADD standards and survey processing techniques
  • Adherence to GDOT OpenRoads Data Processing Guidelines

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Read, write, and understand plans and direction given in the English language
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
