Responsibilities

Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:

Responsible for data access and transfer for Smart Grids Innovation and Planning department's pilots and demonstration projects.

Additionally, this position will work across departments to ideate, develop, and implement innovation pilots focused on positioning AVANGRID to be the leading sustainable energy company.

This position will undertake Project Management roles as the opportunities present themselves for future Smart Grids Innovation and Planning projects.

Additionally, this position may undertake administrative responsibilities to support the effective operations of the Smart Grids Innovation and Planning team including budget coordination, regulatory reporting, business continuity planning, and records information management.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

1. Lead for data access and transfer for Smart Grids Innovation and Planning department's pilots and demonstration projects. Examples include AMI, energy usage, and customer data.

2. Ideate, develop, and implement innovation pilots focused on the meeting state and municipality climate goals. This includes the preparation of use cases, business cases, demonstration/pilot justifications, regulatory approval documents, stakeholder management and communications plans, partnership formation recommendations, and tracking and reporting.

3. Identify and report KPIs for assigned Smart Grid Innovation and Planning Programs. Responsible for developing, monitoring and reporting key performance metrics. Maintain scorecards specifically measuring progress of programs.

4. Project Management for demonstration projects, providing direction and working with department heads to assure project teams are comprised of the types and amounts of resources needed to effectively execute projects. Monitor project execution and encourage robust project plans, risk assessments, contingency planning and internal and external communications and change management plans.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience preferred. Associates Degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience required.

Skills/Abilities:
• Proven Change Management Program experience (PROSCI preferred).
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Operational experience in energy (electric and natural gas) related products and services preferred
• Advanced PC skills including spreadsheet, data base management, SAP
• Project Management experience.
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
• Positive attitude, and the aptitude for learning new technologies, applications and business areas
• Teamwork and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills; i.e. effectively communicates with internal groups on ideas and resolves issues.
• Ability to prioritize work and deliver results while managing multiple stakeholders and competing demands within a rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
