Responsibilities

Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center - We are seeking a Lead Pharmacy Tech to join our Team!

Lead Certified Pharmacy Technician Must be proficient in all responsibilities and duties of Pharmacy Technician. Must be capable of providing leadership to technicians. Provide assistance to Technician Supervisor. Must be able to provide supervision to technicians assigned to IV room (when applicable.)

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education:High School diploma or equivalent required.

Required Minimum Certification:Certified Pharmacy Technician from the National Technician Licensing Board (NTCB).

Registered with the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy.

Required Minimum Experience: Two years of experience in specific areas of the Pharmacy.

Exposure and/or Experience in high risk areas (e.g. Specialty IV Admixture, Purchasing/Inventory Control,

Controlled Substance Distribution and Accountability.)

Required Minimum Skills:

  • Minimal typing skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good oral communication skills.
  • Basic management skills.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
  • Ability to push a transportation cart of approximately 100 pounds.
