St. Mary Physician's Group is looking for a full-time Lead Certified Mid Wife to join our Mother Bachman Practice in Bensalem, PA. Sign on bonus of $10,000 included!!

Provides midwifery services in accordance with the rules governing the standard of practice of midwifery in Pennsylvania and in accordance with the Mother Bachmann Maternity Center (MBMC) policies and procedures. Supervises Midwifery staff. Provides midwifery services in accordance with the rules governing the standard of practice of midwifery in Pennsylvania and in accordance with the Mother Bachmann Maternity Center (MBMC) policies and procedures. Supervises Midwifery staff.

Responsibilities:

Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and actual or potential barriers to learning.

Individualizes and documents educational plan based on age, cultural and spiritual values.

Participates in discharge planning.

Documents in a clear and legible manner in EMR system.

Utilizes the information management system to enhance communication.

Communicates and documents change in-patients condition to all appropriate individuals.

Communicates transfer of patient responsibility.

Documents emergency interventions according to policy.

Documents medication use and controlled substance per policy

Completes admission assessment according to policy.

Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and actual or potential barriers to learning.

Recognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes care.
Includes pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.
Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care.
Assumes accountability for managing the delivery of patient care.
Delegates work to the care team.
Plans delivery of care according to patient acuity and staff competencies.
Performs as a preceptor when necessary.
Anticipates potential length of stay or discharge problems
Performs physical exam on initial visit and reports abnormal findings to MD

Orders appropriate lab studies as indicated
Completes ACOG Prenatal Records and assigns risk factors
Evaluates the progress in labor and actively participates in clinical care

Requirements:

MSN Required

Nurse Midwife certification Required

Current PA Registered Nurse license Required

BLS Required

ACLS Required
