POSITION PROFILE
The Shop Lead prepares a broad range of new equipment for delivery and rebuilds used equipment. Other primary responsibilities include providing technical support, quality assurance, training and general direction to other technicians. Additional responsibilities may include, but not limited to running meetings, following up on Special Order Requirements. Leads technicians in the correct direction when other management is unavailable. Sets the example for other technicians to look at for work ethic, interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude. Champions continuous quality improvement of shop output.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides technical support to other technicians.
- Meets appropriate productivity and quality standards assigned to job responsibility.
- Quality assurance
- Champions continuous quality improvement of shop output
- Set-up and prep all assigned equipment and perform operational checks making all necessary adjustments utilizing the Supply Chain Install/Return Checklist.
- Analyze and troubleshoot equipment failures to determine necessary corrective action
- Maintains clean and organized workspace.
- Completes all required administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
- Responsible for closing jobs in WMS - tracking hours to manage productivity
- Responsible for control of company assets provided to complete required work
- Should show the ability to work with other shop personnel for OJT and troubleshooting
- Required to train and work with other techs.
- Conducts training seminars for Technicians and Delivery and install as required
- Follows all company training programs, policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Manages ordering of parts for repairs as assigned by Management
- Works with Marketing and Service on new product introductions
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)
Typically Required:
- Must have 5 years of related work experience
- Demonstrated mastery of all Shop Technician competencies.
