Are you a NodeJS master looking for the opportunity to deliver highly scalable, well-architected solutions in a fast-paced, high growth environment? Our Architecture team is looking for a Lead Software engineer to design, develop and lead our web application server solutions to support our web engineering teams' products. You'll have the chance to positively impact all of our product web engineers and products. You'll not only deliver highly available, scalable solutions but also drive best practices and mentor engineers to produce top-notch software.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER IN ARCHITECTURE:

• Architect, build out and deliver a new, modern and scalable NodeJS web server solution
  
• Level-up other developers and guide them through contributing to core internal libraries, open-source style
  
• Work with developers across the company to set and refine web standards
  
• Develop modular, efficient, well-tested components to enable the teams to produce top notch products
  
• Coordinate with our SLSE, Web to improve the SDLC and ability to automate creating new web-based products
  
• Develop and refine tooling to fit into our scaffolding solution to improve devs' ability to produce new applications
  
• Participate in design sessions, code reviews, and pull requests
  
• Write clean, well-organized, testable, and reusable JS and TS code - including advanced type helpers
  

WHAT SKILLS YOU WILL USE:

• 5+ years of development experience with modern Javascript or Typescript
  
• 3+ years of NodeJS backend development
  
• Experience with Server-Side Rendering (SSR)
  
• Experience with several Node.js frameworks such as Express, NestJS, Koa, Fastify, and / or Gatsby
  
• A passion for problem solving and a desire to find solutions that enable others to do their jobs more efficiently and with greater success
  
• Experience with build tooling for different kinds of projects: client bundles, SSR, published NPM packages, and / or microfrontends
  
• Experience or ability to discuss established vs newer technologies (like Webpack and Rollup vs ESBuild and Vite) is a big plus
  
• Experience or ability to design APIs or components for use by others
  
• Familiarity with modern frontend tools is a plus, for breadth
  
• An ability to step back and see the big picture - and then make it better
