Job Description:

The Sport Leadership and Administration program at the University of Massachusetts Boston seeks a full-time non-tenure-track Lecturer (one-year appointment) to join the Department of Counseling and School Psychology in the College of Education and Human Development, beginning Fall 2024. Responsibilities include: (1) teach undergraduate-level courses; (2) advise undergraduate students; (3) assist in the recruitment and selection of new students; and (4) provide service to university, college, and departmental committees, and to professional associations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Internship Coordinator for the Sport Leadership and Administration program. Typically, full-time Non-Tenure Track faculty teach 12-credits every fall and spring semester.

Requirements: Candidates must possess an earned doctorate in Sport Management or a related field (including, but not limited to, sport leadership, sport psychology, exercise science) and evidence of excellence in teaching. The successful candidate would join the Department of Counseling and School Psychology which provides a dynamic environment for faculty and students to engage in nationally recognized research, especially in areas related to equity issues, systems-level change, LGBTQ health and wellness, social justice, transnational, human rights, and global perspectives. Candidates with higher education experience in teaching in a sport leadership, administration, or management program are particularly encouraged to apply.

The Department includes 25 full-time faculty and serves undergraduate and graduate students.
