The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient centered 100% (40 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at our UICC Muscatine Pediatric Clinic.

Our LPN's develop relationships and get to know our patients and monitor patient care history and deliver personalized, compassionate care every time to each patient. When anyone in the family needs specialty care, our family medicine provider connects you with the UI Health Care specialist you need. That specialist will consult the same medical record your family medicine provider has been keeping for you, so your specialty care is streamlined.

Our pediatricians are members of the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital team which means they work hand-in-hand with all pediatric specialists at UI Stead Family Children's Hospital. The use of one electronic medical record for each patient ensures constant and timely communication between your child's entire medical team.

Duties to include:

• Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
• Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
• In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.

Percent of Time: 100% (40 hours a week)

Schedule: Monday - Friday; Variable hours accomplished between 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM; standard hours will be 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with some rotating evenings coverage until 8:00 PM. No weekends and no holidays.

Location: Muscatine, IA (other clinical locations within a 1 - 2 hour radius)

Pay Grade: 11 https://hr.uiowa.edu/pay/merit-plan

Salary: $41,017.60 - 61,110.40 / Hourly: $19.72 - $29.38 (based on years of experience)

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support provider.

• Previous Phlebotomy Experience
• Previous Family Medicine Experience
