Stanford Center for Personalized Medicine's Sequencing Center is actively seeking for a highly qualified and motivated Life Science Research Professional 2 (LSRP2) with a strong background in Genomics field to test, develop and validate new sequencing technologies and perform a variety of NGS assays in a high-throughput environment for a large multi-omics research project. The successful candidate must have a track of record of innovative and collaborative research demonstrated through years of experience in genomics and peer-reviewed publications. The incumbent must have high expertise in the next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology including whole genome sequencing, RNA-Seq, single cell RNA-seq, 10X Genomics, operating liquid-handing automation robotic technologies, and different sequencer platforms such as Illumina, PacBio or Nanopore. The LSRP2 will assume a high level of responsibility in the experimental design and make recommendations on technical improvements to the NGS projects. The LSRP2 will play a critical role in technical interactions between both collaborative research labs and biotechnology companies, helping to facilitate sequencing study designs and internal testing and validating of cutting-edge new sequencing technologies.
