About the Department of Pathology:The Department of Pathology is a founding department of the Stanford School of Medicine and one of the leading departments in the United States. Our preeminent faculty spans from emerging leaders to highly accomplished physicians and scientists, including a Nobel laureate and members of the National Academy. Our mission is to improve the diagnosis, treatment, and basic understanding of the human disease. Everything we do is to achieve the goals of providing the highest quality of clinical services to the patients for whom we passionately care, to advance our ability to understand, diagnose, monitor and ultimately to cure disease or to prevent or delay its occurrence, and to provide outstanding education and career development opportunities to those who share these goals.For more information about the department visit http://pathology.stanford.edu/About this Position:We are seeking a Life Science Research Professional (LSRP) to join the laboratory of Dr. Ansuman Satpathy MD, PhD in the Department of Pathology and Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy at Stanford University School of Medicine. This LSRP will lead and aid in the development and application of single-cell genomic sequencing methods for understanding the immune response to cancer in patients. The LSRP will also work as part of large translational immunology teams to collect and analyze samples from patients receiving checkpoint blockade immunotherapy. The LSRP will play a key role in the operation and maintenance of related equipment. Additionally the LSRP will have skills in basic cell biology and molecular biology methodologies such flow cytometry, PCR, cloning, cell phenotyping, and epigenetic analysis. The LSRP must have basic computer skills relevant to next generation sequencing, and be a good team player. The LRSP will assist in grant applications, reporting, and publication of laboratory findings.
