Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Merchandising, the Manager drives field level offer development and marketing support activities in assigned regional market area. The individual performs these duties in direct coordination with the Regional Marketing Director (RMD). The LMM serves as the regional subject matter expert for optimizing and executing promotional offers and works directly with store General Managers (GMs) to plan and coordinate monthly offers as well as maximize effectiveness and report on ongoing marketing activities. The LMM supports the RMD in media planning, campaign administration activities, local activations, Process Execution Assessments (PEA) for instore marketing programs and communication with their assigned stores. The LMM also assists the RMD in managing agency and third-party service provider initiatives. The LMM establishes an intuitive understanding of market dynamics, identifies business and process opportunities. They socialize findings with field leadership and support plan implementation. The LMM is engaged, proactive and effectively evangelizes the marketing vision and priorities. The LMM’s goal is to be viewed as a trusted advisor who directly contributes to overall region performance and success.
The LMM assists the development and documentation of regional marketing plans as well as assures alignment with the national marketing calendar. The LMM provides strategic advice to the RMD and is the primary department contact for Regional Management and General Managers for merchandising related topics or initiatives.
The Manager is principally responsible for developing local merchandising offer content and cross media activation. In addition, the LMM functions as a field level advocate for corporate marketing and branding initiatives.
Organizational Relationships:
LMM reports to the Director, Merchandising with direct day-to-day interaction with the Regional Marketing Director. The LMM develops and maintains productive relationships with field management and functional areas. The manager also works extensively with corporate marketing functions, agency and third-party service providers.
