What Does an American Augers Logistics Planner Do?

Major Function:

Performs logistic and administrative support to include coordinating load planning and freight movement.Process heavy shipment requests, plan and optimize shipments into loads, tender freight to third-party carriers, and respond to internal and external customer inquiries.

• Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
• Prepare documentation such as packing list, sales orders & bill of lading to Customs Brokers in both local and global markets.
• Completes load manifests and Bill of Ladings for export orders shipping out.
• Assist with export documentation and work closely with freight forwarders.
• Scheduling of all containers, truckloads, and communication between all departments.
• Timely management of multiple lines of communication between suppliers, shippers, customers, and internal parties, maintaining details, and relaying pertinent information to appropriate parties.
• Assist off-site territory managers with needed information and assistance.
• Take pictures, record machine hours, verify configurations
• Responsible to bill freight
• Maintain whole goods spreadsheet, including lead times, allocations, and completion dates.
• Prepare freight quotes as needed for sales group and direct customers.
• Prepare documentation for International Airfreight shipments and all associated correspondence required by freight companies and customs requirements.
• Coordinate and compile information as needed for Ocean shipments.
• Point of contact for American Augers on all whole goods shipping inquiries.
• Assist and assigns jobs, cycle counts, as needed through monitor in SAP
• Assists as needed on job reporting errors and clearing COGI log in SAP
• Process both internal and external ASN's as required
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of international shipping laws, regulations, and ISO requirements
• Working knowledge with SAP (ERP)
