Vertiv is hiring a Logistics Specialist in Columbus, OH to coordinate orders shipping from Liebert North America facilities to US and Canadian customers while maintaining superior customer service and cost initiatives. The primary function of this job is to ensure superior external and internal customer satisfaction as it applies to final shipping and execution of sales orders. This encompasses all activities and milestones included in shipping custom orders. Specifics include communication prior to, during and after shipping, status updates, expedites, damage inquiries, replacement orders and, in general, all other inquires initiated by our customers. The same alignment is required for inbound shipments from suppliers to Vertiv facilities. The above is expected to be achieved while maintaining best cost position using Vertiv approved carriers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary liaison between external and internal customers
  • Process, in a timely and accurate manner, all freight invoices discrepancies processed by Vertiv third party freight payment service.
  • File freight damage and loss claims against carriers and enter internal orders for any required replacement items associated with the claim.
  • Process all Return Authorizations per specified processes
  • Provide quotations, carrier selection and coordination for all special delivery arrangements for both inbound and outbound shipments, including, lift gate deliveries, inside deliveries, expedited deliveries, reconsignments and redeliveries.
  • Prepare export documentation for Canadian shipments from all Liebert North American Facilities Understanding of Export tariff numbers and compliance export laws
  • Provide back-up support to the Export Traffic Coordinators as needed (vacation, illness, etc.) to coordinate export shipments and documentation required for such shipments.
  • Respond to carriers, customers, sales representatives, suppliers and Liebert personnel requiring assistance on any freight related issues regarding Liebert inbound, outbound or drop shipments.
  • Provide logistic project management services as may be needed for large and high profile sales orders.
  • Miscellaneous as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Excellent PC skills in Microsoft Office programs
  • Familiarity or ability to learn Oracle ERP and CPQ Order Management System
  • Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills
  • Self starter
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and communicate quickly and accurately.
  • Address stressful situations professionally and promptly
  • Associates degree or equivalent 2 years' Logistics experience in a fast paced, customer focused environment.
