Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Reads and interprets specifications of work orders.
• Verifies wire sizes and calibrations using micrometer and Acromag.
• Adjusts process control parameters such as speed, tension, wire length, spool size in accordance with verbal direction or process documentation.
• Examines wire for visual conformance to specifications and removes defects or defective pieces.
• Records production data and fills out associated production paperwork.
• Identifies overtly defective wire, documents and tags the non-conforming material for further inspection.
• Practices 5S / Lean principles, follows safety procedures and adheres to established quality policies.

Abilities/Skills Required:

• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
• Ability to lift to 100 lbs.(using team lift) and also lean, reach, kneel, or stand for long periods of time.
• Skill with computer use and ability to be trained on computer systems used by Omega Engineering.
• Skill with the use of hand tools.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical actions. (addition, subtraction)
• Ability to perform conversions, such as English to Metric. (feet to meters)
• Ability to distinguish between color coded wire.

Minimum Educational/Experience Requirements:

• None required.

Preferred Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year in manufacturing production.
• Knowledge of calibration metal types and thermocouple color codes.
