This position will be trained on first shift and transitioned to Evening or Weekend Shift upon completion
Purpose and Scope
Performs facilities tasks assigned by the Facilities Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintains and ensures a clean and orderly work area and that all assigned tasks are accomplished in a safe manner.
- Keeps pace with a structured architectural preventative maintenance schedule with an integration of "on-the-fly" jobs.
- Makes regular inspections of the grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances and equipment as directed.
Required Skills, Education and Experience:
- Four years of high school or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of one-year experience performing similar work.
- A good working knowledge of maintenance methods, tools, materials and equipment used in facilities and/or property management.
- Adaptability, communication, customer focus, decision-making, dependability, initiative, interpersonal skills, job knowledge, judgment, personal organization, productivity, quality, results focus and teamwork.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Skills, Education and experience:
- The ability to perform corrective and preventative maintenance to restrooms, meeting rooms, doors and cleaning equipment.
- The ability to service general plumbing and basic electrical needs of the property to include repairing toilets, sinks, showers and small electrical devices.
